yes it means good luck. Mostly used in asian buddhism (Japanese, chinese, korean, thai) Sri Lankan Buddhists dont usually use the swastika, because i am a Sri Lankan buddhists and we rarely ever respect the swastika that much.

"good luck" is a literal translation from Sanskrit of the word "swastika". The actual meaning of the symbol is varied and cultural and the history is quite extensive.

actually in jainism it's the most sacred symbol. Asians (indian, pakstani, bangoli + sri lankan) all recognise it as a sign for good luck...
