| | | This is the decommissioned Astoria County Jail. It's undergone a new paint job since filming. There is a little sign in the window saying that it was used in the filming of the Goonies and other movies, but is closed to the public. It then says you are welcome to take all the pictures you want. |

| | | The view of Mikey's neighborhood from his house. Looks quite the same today. |

| | | This scene was filmed just down the street from Mikey's house. The convenience store is now a coffee shop. |

| | | The museum Mikey's dad works at is in fact an actual museum, The Captain George Flavel House, which is home to the Astoria Historical Society. |

| | | Mikey's house - then and now. The house is located at 368 38th St. I've heard previously that there have been signs at the house, welcoming Goonie Fans on foot, but the only sign there now is just one at the base of the driveway saying private residence. I made my visit quick and discreet. |

| | I want my bike! I want my bike!
Data's house, still next door to Mikey's, is slightly less blue these days. You can still see the window up there from where Data crashes through Mikey's screen door. They've removed the platform under the window though. Maybe that was built for production? |

| | | All of this part of the movie was shot in Ecola State Park, about 20 min SW of Astoria. The big rock in the background is Haystack Rock, which is actually the same rock that fills the middle hole in the coin when the POV is flipped over his shoulder. The filmmakers just superimposed it to fit in between the lighthouse and the restaurant. |

| | | Except for the superimposed image of Haystack Rock, this really is the view Mikey is looking at through the doubloon. It should be noted though that the restaurant was built for the movie and probably taken down after filming; it no longer exists today. |
